I don't know about friend, but my seam ripper is AWOL. And I'm feeling a bit panicky about it, because I know it's an all-too-necessary tool. Hope you got 'er ripped and redone and feel better now! :)
Sadly, I have about 4 unpickers...and they get a LOT of use.
Michelle I once threatened to set fire to something I was making that wasnt working out. Dramatic - yes. Did I do it - no. Did I feel better after saying it - absolutely. Did I finish the project - yes. And I still hate it.
Wow, Michelle, that is one fine quilt you've crafted! I am just loving it. I know what you mean about pieced borders. I've often spent more time on the borders than the top itself, but have never pieced a more beautiful border than your butterflies! Gives me good ideas! ~karen
Don't know what I'd done without that "friend"! Am going to use it now; did some cross-stitching yesterday, counted wrong - and hurray - have to unpick! :))
Ha! Too funny! Know just how you feel! I have been ripping seams out of my latest wing chair slipcover and find that often times, a single edge razor blade works better than my two seam rippers do...even better when my husband helps...four hands are better than two! xox Nancy
Okay, glad you feel better now that you got that out of your system. :D lol
ReplyDeleteThere, there ... ;)

ReplyDeleteP.S. The funniest term I've heard for unpicking: frog stitching . . . rip it! rip it! rip it!
ReplyDeleteOh my, Michelle - this is absolutely STUNNING! The butterfly blocks are just lovely.
