Favorite Things Friday

Ever since Mrs. Pyjamas began Favorite Things Friday, I knew I could put this favorite thing off for only so long.  It's been vying for the place of honor since day one.  Truly, it deserves a place of honor.  My computer is one of my very most favorite things.

The reason is simple.  It has allowed me to connect with people from all over the world, and some of those people have become very dear friends.  Yes, the computer permits other types of coolness~I can read the news, research answers to questions, find a new house, pay my bills, swap my paperback books, and buy fabric to name just a few.  However nothing can compare to the friendships I've made through this little miracle of technology that we've all learned to take for granted.

Head on over to Quilting in My Pyjamas, and check out everyone else's favorite things.

  1. Let's see where all your comments come from today...I'll start...I'm in South Carolina. Your computer did it again...it connected you with a new follower who hopes to become your bloggy friend. :o) I can see why you would call it one of your Favourite Things. Happy FTF! :o) Larri at Seams Inspired

  3. I find, when the power goes out, I am a little lost...until I realize I can access the internet on my phone. :)

  4. I never cease to marvel at how much computers have opened up the world for us all. The answers to questions are just a click away , news is immediate. I can talk to someone halfway round the world in real time.

And like you I've met some amazing people through the internet/blogging.

And I am completely lost without my computer. Seriously. Because I dont have a phone with the internet on it...I know..I'm pretty lame.

    Loved your FTF post Michelle.

  5. If I'm away from computer for a couple of days I get withdrawal symptoms!
My phone is okay for hotmail but it isn't a smartphone so isn't great for browsing, plus it costs a fortune!

  6. Too true, lots of people to connect with and I have even met some in real life. I love my computer to and get withdrawals if I am away or the internet is down.

  9. I love my laptop, too - and my husband only buys me "durable" cell phones since they get dropped quite often!

I live in Pennsylvania - not too exotic, but what can you do? :)

    thanks for sharing in ftf!!

  11. SO true, and as I was away from my computer for a week and couldn't comment on anyones blog, I had withdrawal symptoms too. Computers and the internet are amazing things and I would never ever have connected with you if it wasn't for both of them.
