Favorite Things Friday

Wow!  The last Favorite Things Friday of 2011.  We'd better make the most of it.  If you want to play, get on over to Quilting in My Pyjamas and link up.

Last February I bought my 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe down in McKinney, Texas.  The car itself became the topic of Favorite Things Friday on February 18, 2011.

Hyundai Genesis, Taos, NM

However, there is now a certain feature of my car that has become a favorite ~ a feature I hadn't sought out when shopping for my car.  The car just happened to come equipped.  A feature that I had no use for until I found myself facing winter in Kansas.

Seat warmers!

Winter, even in north Texas, is just not that cold.  I didn't use them there.  In the meantime, over summer, I had forgotten I had them.  Until just last week.  I looked down at my shifter, and there on either side of it lies the buttons for the seat warmers for each seat.

The seat warmers make getting out in the cold much more bearable.  In fact, it makes me smile every time my fanny warms up.

  1. I know I smile every time my fanny warms up. :) Unfortunately, no seat warmers here, just my own seat warming the cold leather.

    Your car is hot!

  2. Love my seat warmers. Especially here in cold wet Germany.

  3. Too hot for them here but I can just imagine how wonderful that would feel when you have to venture out on those freezing days.

  4. Love your car and the seat warmer idea, but not here in Mauritius though - too hot!!! Here we prefer aircon, so that EVERYTHING can cool down.

  5. Oh God YES! After first experiencing those, I won't get a car without them now (unless I no longer get leather seats but hubs insists on those). I will tell you that Ford has also managed to get A/C seats too. Hubs LOVED those when he had em and misses them terribly. He's decided they are a necessity in his next vehicle. hehe

  6. You know your steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car- right?

I love your car and I want it(with or without seat warmers!)

It probably doesn't get cold enough here for me to justify that in my next car but it is a cool feature.

Thank you for showing off some of your favourites this year Michelle.

  7. Oooh love your car.
I have seat warmers in my car but very rarely use them as it doesn't get that cold here very often. I do however have cooled seats too now I use that feature A LOT as it's hot here much of the year.

  8. My aunt has those in her new Charger - she loves them! Here in Michigan you really need them, lol!

  9. I've got to try those out. It sounds really great for our Kansas winters.

  10. That is awesome that your car came equipped with something that you didn't even know you'd need. Nothing like a happy accident, eh? Can I say, I'm just a wee bit jealous, but glad for you. What a great favorite.

  11. Now that is a cool or should I say warm FTF! I wouldn't need them here in the tropics but I can imagine they would be perfect for your cold winters :-)

  12. That's my favorite part of my car, too! My husband's car has a heated steering wheel.
Don't you love a five speed?
    Have a great weekend!

  14. I want your car. Seriously. I'm coveting it. Can't imagine a cold Kansas day without seat warmers. What a fabulous feature! Happy Sunday! ☺

  15. I don't think we have that feature on Australian cars. I would need feet warmers not seat warmers, in winter I just usually crank the heating up on the floor and I am happy. Though reading the comments you have seat coolers I think we could do with those.
